VÆRNEDAMSVEJ
(LITTLE PARIS)
Værnedamsvej is Copenhagens cosiest street. The street is named after a German soldier, Werner Damn, who opened a bodega on the corner of Vesterbrogade in the 1700’s. In the 1800’s it was knows as the butcher street due to the large number of butchers, and today there is 1 left.
Værnedamsvej is pure culture turned into a shopping street, just like in Paris. Here you will find clothing stores, butcher, florist, cheese-, ice cream- and a chocolate shop. It is lined up with café’s, bars, and restaurants. If you are looking for a Danish delicatesse, this is also the place to explore.

PLADS
Enghave Plads originates from 1897 as a large open square where 3 large streets met; Enghavevej, Istedgade & Dybbølsgade. It is most likely the most social and vibrant squares we have in Copenhagen that connects to our newly build Metro Station Enghave Plads.
There’s plenty of seating, planting and a nice little fountain. This is the place to go if you are looking for a cozy place to sit, drink good coffee and enjoy a Danish pastry as it is surrounded by cafés. The orange benches fit perfectly into this colorful neighbourhood.
TIVOLI
In the heart of Copenhagen, we have the historical amusement part Tivoli that opened its doors in 1843. The park was founded by Georg Carstensen who was inspired by the parks he had seen abroad, and he was given permission to open Tivoli by the King.
In that time, this park was different, and public fell in love with the elegance and exotic atmosphere that they could experience in Tivoli. One of the guests, H. C. Anders was inspired to write one of his classics, The Nightingale, during his visit.

In the vibrant Carlsberg Byen district, the former Carlsberg brewery has been given a new lease of life as Copenhagen’s benchmark relaxation oasis. The iconic building dating back to 1881 has been returned to its former glory, with its original features restored and now part of the magical AIRE atmosphere. A place where time does not exist, where you can live a unique experience of total disconnection for the body and mind.
This way, one of the most emblematic buildings in Denmark has become the current location of AIRE Ancient Baths Copenhagen. Carlsberg, one of the best known and most consumed beer brands in the world, as well as the reference for the beautiful Scandinavian city and its inhabitants, is the perfect match for AIRE. V1 Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in the Meatpacking District of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 2002 by designer Jesper Elg and photographer Peter Funch. V1 Gallery gained international notability by being the first art gallery in Scandinavia to exhibit international street art pioneers such as Banksy (UK) and Eine (UK), the Faile artist collective (US/JAP), Futura 2000 (US), Zevs (FR) and OBEY / Shepard Fairey (US). The gallery has been listed as “Copenhagen’s coolest art gallery” by The New York Times, and listed in ArtNet’s “Best contemporary galleries in Europe”.

Carlsberg was founded in 1847 by the visionary brewer J.C. Jacobsen, who laid the foundation for a modern Danish brewing company. Jacob Christian (J.C.) Jacobsen (1811 – 1887) was trained in his father Chresten Jacobsen’s (Nørkjær) brewery in Brolæggerstræde, and on his father’s death he took over responsibility for the brewery. In order to have more space and, above all, clean brewing water, he moved the brewery to Valby Bakke in 1847. There was plenty of water here, as it ran off the slope when the railway to Roskilde was built. Thus J.C. Jacobsen founded an industrial brewery, named after the brewery’s location on a “mountain” and his only son Carl: Carlsberg.
